Numerical Investigation of Hot Roll Bonding of Multilayer Sheet Metal

Abstract The roll bonding process of the sandwich sheet is a preferable production method to manufacture multilayer sheets and it needs clear investigation because some industrial parts cannot fulfill all requirements by single-layer material. In this study, theoretical model has been reviewed hot rolling processes with different plate thickness flow stress were numerically investigated. contact pressure-dependent properties in deformation zone defined. Then, liner reduction ratio are important parameters determine total zone. When becomes large, unbonded length can be serious problem at same time, good strength found higher thinner liner.
